Cognate with Azerbaijani dəyirman, Bashkir тирмән (tirmən), Crimean Tatar degirmen, Kazakh диірмен (diırmen), Kyrgyz тегирмен (tegirmen), Turkmen degirmen, Uyghur تۈگمەن (tügmen) and Uzbek tegirmon.
