ܟܵܠܹܐ • (kālē)

1. (intransitive) to stop, come to a stop, to come to a standstill

   ܟܠܝܼ (klī, “halt!, stop!, whoa!”)

   ܟܠܹܐ ܠܝܼ ܠܪ̈ܵܡܘܿܙܹܐ ܣܡܘܿܩܹ̈ܐ.

   klē lī l-rāmōzē smōqē.

   I stopped at the red traffic lights.

   ܫܓ݂ܘܼܫܝܹ̈ܐ ܒܸܬ ܟܵܠܝܼ ܐܝܼܡܲܢ ܕܫܘܼܪܛܵܐ ܥܵܒ݂ܹܪ.

   šḡušyē bit kālī īman d-šurṭā ˁāḇēr.

   The riots will stop when police moved in.

2. (intransitive) to stand still
