From Scythian *Horamrundaka (“lord of gifts”), composed of a cognate of Khotanese hora, haura (“gift”) + Scythian *mrund (literally “lord, king”) (cf. Khotanese rrund).[1] Equivalent of the Sanskrit title दानपति (dānapati) and the Pali title dānapati.
