     มาตรา ๑๖๓๖ ถ้าเจ้ามรดกมีภริยาที่ชอบด้วยกฎหมายก่อนใช้ประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพาณิชย์ บรรพ ๕ หลายคนยังมีชีวิตอยู่ ภริยาเหล่านั้นทั้งหมดรวมกันมีสิทธิได้รับมรดกตามลำดับชั้นและส่วนแบ่งดังระบุไว้ในมาตรา ๑๖๓๕ แต่ในระหว่างกันเอง ให้ภริยาน้อยแต่ละคนมีสิทธิได้รับมรดกกึ่งส่วนที่ภริยาหลวงจะพึงได้รับ

     Section 1636 If the de cujus has several legitimate wives under the law prior to the coming into force of Book 5 of the Civil and Commercial Code who are still alive, all those wives have the right to jointly receive the inheritance according to the hierarchy and portions as mentioned in Section 1635. However, as between themselves, the minor wives shall each have the right to inherit one half of the portion which the principal wife ought to receive.
