First attested in the Worin seokbo (月印釋譜 / 월인석보), 1459, as Middle Korean 나그〮내〮 (Yale: nàkúnáy), but the form 나ᄀᆞ〮내〮 (Yale: nàkónáy), which abides to Middle Korean vowel harmony and is thus probably older, is attested just three years later.
