I think the categorization of templates is currently quite poor.

• cat:Uncategorized templates and Special:UncategorizedTemplates serve the same purpose.

• cat:Reference templates (unrelatedly nominated for deletion) should not be a child of cat:Templates; it is already a child of cat:Dictionary templates.
• cat:Supplementary templates is a terribly undescriptive name, and there is no description on the category page to clarify. The descriptions of the children of cat:Supplementary templates by language might help: "Templates used to keep contents for other templates". It seems most templates that are immediate children of this category do not meet this description, and should therefore be recategorized.
• cat:WOTD templates should be a subcategory of cat:Administration templates.
• cat:Wiktionary templates should be merged into cat:Administration templates and cat:Maintenance templates.

• After these changes have been made, the sections at Wiktionary:Templates should be updated to match.

• car, sense 8 ("aggregate of desirable characteristics"): Can't any marketable noun be used this way?

There are some terms that are being discussed at RFDE, each of which is representative of a group of terms that could be nominated for the same reason as the original. Assuming that the original fails, I want to nominate the other members of each group.

• English road names. See Category talk:en:Named roads § RFD discussion: October 2022–January 2023. I have most recently nominated El Camino Real.

• Adjectives suffixed with -ass. See WT:RFDE § strange-ass.

2023-02: I want to hold off on listing these terms until RFM is smaller.

All terms in the following categories should be listed at RFM:

These terms were tagged but never listed with no explanation given for why in the tag or edit summary, and for which the tagger is active (last edit within a month or so). I have pinged the tagger to get their input. If I get no response within two weeks or so, I think it is reasonable to simply remove the tag.

For terms for which no explanation can be found and the tagger is inactive, I find it reasonable to remove their tags immediately.

Some acronyms and initialisms do not use {{acronym of}} or {{initialism of}}, and are therefore not appropriately categorized. I've used one of my Python scripts to find all English senses for terms that consist only of two uppercase English letters, where the sense is not labelled as an initialism and does not use {{acronym of}} or {{initialism of}}.

I've also created a list of words that appear at least 256 times in English Wikisource works from the 1700s or later, but which do not yet have English pronunciations.

Based on Category:Requests for audio pronunciation in English entries. I do not know when I might get around to recording these, so do not consider them reserved or anything.

• Many English appendices do not have English in their title when they ought to.
• In categorizing appendices, I have come across several that are just lists of existing mainspace entries, which might be better handled (and maybe already are!) using categories instead.
