Pages need to go through an WT:RfD process for them to be deleted. Do not simply delete pages, especially if they have an already active {{rfd}} on them! If you remove another Rfd, like you did here today, you will face a block. --{{victar|talk}} 20:57, 26 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

For Tamil, it may be phonetically regular to have a word like bhrū rendered as puruvam, but in case of Old Kannada, bhrū -> purvu definitely is not regular for a borrowing! Old Kannada has a lot of Sanskrit loans and these are borrowed as they are, along with their original pronunciation. But it seems purvu was borrowed in a proto-stage and then subject to Dravidian phonology and then inherited. So this word existed at least at the stage of Proto-South Dravidian or Proto-Tamil-Kannada. Also note how the Malayalam reflexes have a diverse variety, which is fairly typical in Malayalam in inherited words (IMO). So if Old Kannada and Malayalam are inherited, it makes sense to put Tamil as inherited too, in my opinion. Hi, I notice that many entries you create have a stray zero width space (U+200B) at the end. It's very important not to do that. Since the character is invisible to humans, but its presence is known to the software, it's important to double-check and make sure that entries do not contain this (or any other empty character) when creating new entries. I find most of them at Category:IPA pronunciations with invalid IPA characters when you use automatically generated IPA templates like {{kn-IPA}} for Kannada, because those templates generate the pronunciation based on the page name, and when they encounter the zero width space, they throw an error. There aren't very many left in that category right now, but please be careful when creating new entries in the future. —Mahāgaja · talk 21:07, 28 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
