Thank you for the anagrams

Thank you for the anagrams, @KovachevBot! May your gears turn ever so efficiently ;-) Chernorizets (talk) 05:37, 2 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Chernorizets: Beep-boop. Thank-you... cordially... for your... gratitudes... it is... my... pleasure... beep-boop. Thank you, for... being... an... absolute legend... KovachevBot (talk) 21:26, 3 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Also, we're technically done with the anagram run! It ran surprisingly fast, and unfortunately I didn't record how many edits it did, but... I think it was maybe near 2000 1000 or so. No non-lemmas were included, so let me know what you think. We should pay some attention to the anagrams sections and see how they reflect on the entries as a whole. I've seen a good few interesting connections so far, like енцефаломенингоцеле and менингоенцефалоцеле (shockingly, we cover neither of these!)... in all seriousness I hope it'll look good in the end, lol. @Kiril kovachev I've been spot-checking examples - so far so good; there was one odd example, but it's not a big deal. Left you a message on your talk page. Cheers! Chernorizets (talk) 08:14, 4 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Chernorizets Thanks, I better check these out as well. Later today I think I'll write that script to filter out the dubious ones, although I don't trust myself to remove content bot-wise, so I'll just remove it by hand once I find the errors. There are lots that are just "the same word but with a hyphen at the end", which I think we need to axe... Kiril kovachev (talkcontribs) 11:54, 4 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Misspelling added as anagram

Hi Kiril kovachev. I see that your bot has added a misspelling as an anagram here. The misspelling has its entry, so I guess is is considered a word? And therefore a valid anagram? Regards, and have a good one. Rui Gabriel Correia (talk) 13:31, 16 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Rui Gabriel Correia Hi! I'm not sure what to do about cases like these. The pool of possible anagrams was taken directly from existing entries on Wiktionary, and there was no logic applied on top to check whether the word was a misspelling or not. The page Wiktionary:Anagrams does not say anything about whether they should be allowed, but if you'd like, you can decide whether to remove that particular one, if you think it's unfitting. :) Kiril kovachev (talkcontribs) 17:02, 21 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi Kovachev. Tanks for your informative response. Certainly an interesting case. I will let it stand and see if any light shines through. Have a great week. Rui Gabriel Correia (talk) 16:10, 22 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
