We have a lot of it. Feel free to ask anytime. WT:GL has Wiktionary jargon. Most of it doesn't meet WT:CFI. We feel we can't exempt ourselves from the rules that apply to everyone else, (unlike many legislative bodies).
Appendix:Glossary is supposed to have the stuff that non-contributing users need to know to get full benefit of en.wikt. Of course contributors should know much of it.
Please let us know about any additional keyboard shortcuts that might help. I, for one, wouldn't mind having a few more.
Your technical background is certainly welcome. Any ideas you have for fast and legal (Copyright is in some ways a worse problem for us than for WP.) ways to expand our content in technical (or any) areas is appreciated. If you can give others hints about what generic changes might be warranted in a class of entries you have expertise about, it might be possible to set others to working a cleanup list under some guidelines. You can never tell what kind of thing someone might find interesting for a while. DCDuring TALK 18:06, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for creating the entry.
I changed the translation to makeup as it seems the main entry and make-up - only an alternative. To me, they are both OK and I also prefer the latter.
BTW, I find it difficult to read your English. If you do it on purpose, you may find people will not respond since they struggle to read. :) Anatoli 23:57, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Note that when you're doing {{temp|zh-attention}} you are not actually invoking the template {{zh-attention}}
, but instead simply linking to it. The template {{temp}}
is made for the purpose of mentioning the templates themselves in English prose. You should be using {{zh-attention}} instead. Cheers --Ivan Štambuk 17:07, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

maybe you should find some other hobbies other than contributing to wiktionary if you have RSI, i don't hitnk this is a very healthy one. Not trying to be mean by any means, but i just think its good advice.
Hello Sven ! MD myself (retired), Trop Med in 1970 (never used , since I remained in France, & went abroad only for trips), great-great-mother's name : Beullemans (Sint-Pieter's-Leeuw...), bearing a disease (one associating irresistible need to sleep with choreiform movements at the beginning of sleep : some ...esterase-lack , name : ? : forgotten...) : have'not we a lot in common ? and it does'nt keep me from contributing to WP, though the game " is not a very healthy one", as says the former writer in your mails...I reckon RSI is what we call tendinite ? Could be worse, for exemple La Peyronie's disease...So cheer up, and go on !
My father, who was a veterinary surg., would be glad to know you enjoy his favourite quotation , one he used when getting up at nights to attend a sick animal, & one I also made mine since I had to get up too ( I was a gyneco-obst., & then occupational-med. in my late years...).I think it is from Gaston de Foix. If I fall on a book of good citations, I'll give you its coordo. Am rubbing my hands ( je me frotte les mains...) : to-days word is "bistro", tant pis pour les pisse-vinaigre , je vais donner quelques acceptions et dérives du mot en français. Hi Sven, long time no chat. We'll have to catch up soon when I'm not so snowed under with work. :( Just to let you know, the "standard" formatting for Eng->Chi entries nowadays is:
* Chinese: ** Mandarin: {{t|zh|叩頭|sc=Hani}}, {{t|zh|叩头|tr=kòutóu|sc=Hani}}
Please don't put them under "Mandarin"; it makes it harder to find, as most people look under Chinese when looking for translations. Cheers! Tooironic 22:18, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

You could have posted the link to the body text of your post. I assume you are aware of the discussion going on at the Beer parlour about you? No offense or anything, but it is pretty hard to understand your writing. :| I can sympathize 'cause I know someone with RSI, but still... (How do you manage to write in entries? Is it possible you can do the same on talk pages? People are wondering . . .) Again, no offense intended, hope you have a nice day! :D L☺g☺maniac chat? 01:05, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
There are several things I have wondered about your writing style. Feel free to leave my questions unanswered.
I have tried several times to decipher what you write, but I have mostly given up. I don't think I can be morally obliged to decipher something.I'V NEVA ASKD BUT TOLERANS['PART FROM CONR.>TECHN.SOLUTIONS "I've never asked but tolerance (apart from Conrad"
If someone did not speak English and would start writing in French, expecting me to adjust by learning French, I think I would refuse and insist that he learns English instead. MYSHRTHND=ENGL And by the way, in my opinion French and English are just dialects of the same language. And I mean that.
So I for one would very much appreciate if you (a) either write in plain English in spite of the additional cost for you, HUMANITIES-REASONIN:INTHE END IWANA GETMYWAY,RESONABL ORNOT[SCIENS PL MAKE URWAY2WT.. or (b) at least stop using capitalized letters and start using spaces. There are still a lot of tricks to make the writing shorter, tricks that you are already using, like writing "yr" instead of "your", "u" instead of "you", "lite" instead of "light", etc. "Humanities - reasoning: In the end I want to get my way, reasonable or not (science please make your way to wiktionary..)"

(Unindent) Just to be clear about my position: I am mainly asking questions, and trying to explain the difficulties that I have with deciphering.INO>NEED=VOIS-RECORDINS "I know - I need voice-recordings." I am not saying anything about your intentions, about why you write in this style WHENDO UGUYS GET STH?????; "When do you guys get something?" I have no mind-reader device. I can imagine that habit is habit, and that you have already automatized the way of writing that you are currently using. I do realize that changing your way is to go out of your habit, which is a mental cost. PROB=ARMS,NOT HED,"framed":false,"label":"Reply","flags":,"classes":}'>Reply

Hi 史凡!
I made a slight correction to your last edit in verwijzing: you used the {{medicine}}
template. When using this template for Dutch words, you should use it with the lang=nl
parameter, like so:
{{medicine|lang=nl}}
.
What this does is add the Category:nl:Medicine to the article, instead of Category:Medicine, which is for English words. Regards! —AugPi 04:09, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Hello, I thought you might be interested in the availability of assistive technology to users with typing difficulties. I have found a completely free online tool that can easily integrate into Wikipedia and any other website you wish to use it on. It works by dynamically predicting words based on likely continuing words and sentence confines. For example, typing: 'Wik' gives a suggestion of 'Wikipedia', which can be entered by pressing ctrl + the suggestion number (it'll make more sense when you check it out), saving many keystrokes. The website seems to have support for Mandarin and other languages as well.
The website is: http://lipik.in/ and there instructions on how to add it as a universal browser tool here: http://lipik.in/lipik-include.html.
You should take a look :).

Hiya. Great work on adding all those Mandarin entries. One thing though. Take a look at Category:Mandarin verbs. See how all those verbs you added are stuck up the top and are not in alphabetical order? This is because you didn't fill in the pint= field. In the future could you please do this. It saves a lot of work for us having to do it for you. See How to Create a Basic Chinese Entry for more information. Cheers, Tooironic 07:39, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
