Pronunciation

Circumfix

di- -nya

  1. he/she/it verb: appended to verbs, to make 3rd person singular forms
    dibelinya(s)he/it buys/bought

Usage notes

Due to symmetrical voice system, this circumfix literally translates into "is/was verbed by him/her/it", but in fact does interchangeable with dia/itu verb. Forms for 1st singular (ku-) and 2nd singular (kau-) do exist, but the latter ending is mostly formal, and both are treated like disattachable proclitics.
