1. (transitive) to pass, transfer, hand over, transmit, bring or take across

   ܠܲܡܦܹܝܕ݂ܐ ܡܘܼܥܒܸܪ ܡ̣ܢ ܐܝܼܕ݂ܵܐ ܠܐܝܼܕ݂ܵܐ.

   lampēḏā muˁbir min īḏā l-īḏā.

   The torch was passed from hand to hand.

   ܡܘܼܥܒܪܵܐ ܠܹܗ ܡܸܠܚܵܐ. ― muˁbrā lēh milḥā. ― He passed her the salt.

   ܘܐܲܢ݇ܬ ܒܸܬ ܡܲܥܒܪܸܬ ܠܗܘܿܢ ܦܲܪܨܘܿܦܵܐܝܼܬ݂ ܠܐܲܒ݂ܵܗܹ̈ܐ.

   ܩܸܡ ܡܲܥܒܸܪ ܠܝܼ ܠܓܲܘ ܒܲܝܬܵܐ ܠܸܫܬܵܝܵܐ ܦܸܢܓܵܢܵܐ ܕܩܲܗܘܵܐ.

   qim maˁbir lī lgaw baytā lištāyā pingānā d-qahwā.

   He brought me into the house for a cup of coffee.

   ܒܸܬ ܡܲܥܒܪܸܢ ܠܗܘܿܢ ܠܒ݂ܘܼܫܹ̈ܐ ܐܸܢ ܥܵܪܹܐ ܡܸܛܪܵܐ.
