Borrowed from Ukrainian горі́лка (horílka). Compare Russian горе́ть (gorétʹ, “to burn”), Ukrainian горі́ти (horíty, “to burn”). Similar to Belarusian гарэ́лка (harélka).

     ... да горе́лки побо́льше, не с вы́думками горе́лки, не с изю́мом и вся́кими вытребеньками, а чи́стой пенной горе́лки, чтоб игра́ла и шипе́ла, как бе́шеная.

     ... da gorélki pobólʹše, ne s výdumkami gorélki, ne s izjúmom i vsjákimi vytrebenʹkami, a čístoj pennoj gorélki, štob igrála i šipéla, kak béšenaja.

Used in place of the synonym во́дка (vódka) to allude to Ukrainian village custom.
