Hello, welcome to Wiktionary, and thank you for your contributions so far.
If you are unfamiliar with wiki-editing, take a look at Help:How to edit a page. It is a concise list of technical guidelines to the wiki format we use here: how to, for example, make text boldfaced or create hyperlinks. Feel free to practice in the sandbox. If you would like a slower introduction we have a short tutorial.

Is cu really pronounced /kulo/ despite its spelling? —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 07:32, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
Hey, gl-noun now generates plurals automatically. Let me know if you see it generating something wrong. — Ungoliant (falai) 15:12, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
I can't speak for Galician, but for Spanish, the decision was made to use {{head|es|noun form}}
} instead of {{head|es|plural}}
}- I believe because there isn't a single plural like English has, but a masculine plural and a feminine plural (see WT:AES and its talk page for details). At any rate, all of the entries were changed and the "Spanish plurals" category was deleted- your entries are the only ones that use that category, now. Chuck Entz (talk) 22:16, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
If you're going to copy the entire Spanish section of an entry and label it as Galician, at least read what you've copied- unless there really is a difference between Galician usage in Europe and in Latin America that exactly parallels the difference between Spanish usage in Europe and in Latin America. Chuck Entz (talk) 06:02, 4 July 2014 (UTC)
Someone was asking about our translation for this entry, which was added by someone who barely speaks Spanish, let alone Galician. Your opinion as a native speaker would be greatly appreciated. See Wiktionary:Feedback#happy_birthday. Thanks! Chuck Entz (talk) 00:47, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
Hola.
--Type56op9 (talk) 08:56, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
Do you know what’s the difference between seica, talvez and probabelmente? — Ungoliant (falai) 19:27, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
Hi and thanks for your entries. I've been reviewing them, most are good, but Liga de Campións certainly isn't Spanish. What did you do wrong? --AK and PK (talk) 09:49, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
Abbreviation, acronym and initialism are no longer accepted as parts of speech. You have to use the POS of the expanded version of the word (i.e., DIU is a noun because dispositivo/dispositif is a noun phrase). Instead, you should use {{abbreviation of}}
, {{initialism of}}
and {{acronym of}}
in the definition line. — Ungoliant (falai) 02:06, 23 April 2016 (UTC)
You sometimes put the deletion tag on a page containing more than one language, and it's not clear whether only one language should be deleted, or all of them. I tried to do what I thought you intended! Equinox ◑ 19:56, 18 December 2016 (UTC)
Hey, thank you for expanding that etymology. Beware that {{etyl}}
has been retired, but you can use {{der|||-}}
with the same effect. ←₰-→ Lingo Bingo Dingo (talk) 11:45, 31 October 2018 (UTC)
Hey. Do you think caer una buena is the best name for this phrase? Maybe caerle una buena or caerle una buena a alguien? --XY3999 (talk) 11:50, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
Gracias hombre... for your translations. One thing though, if you're adding a translation that is SOP (sum of parts), it's best not to give a direct link, but instead to link the individual words. I changed some in the entry uncovered because we don't want an entry for sin cubrir, no asegurado, do we? --I learned some phrases (talk) 07:29, 20 June 2019 (UTC) @I learned some phrases:. Yes. Okay. I take note. Thanks. --Vivaelcelta (talk) 11:42, 21 June 2019 (UTC)

Hey Galician guy. In the idiom pedir papas, what is being asked for? potatoes, soup, or popes? --Vealhurl (talk) 15:17, 1 October 2019 (UTC)

Stop removing sections out of process, use RFV if you want to have it deleted. Rocker has been in RFV previously and it didn't fail at the time, albeit with limited input, so you'll probably have to elaborate in RFV on your reasoning why it should be removed. ←₰-→ Lingo Bingo Dingo (talk) 11:05, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
Hi. Please be aware of the difference between {{der}}
, {{bor}}
and {{inh}}
. You should prefer the latter two whenever possible. For example, you used {{der}}
when replacing {{etyl}}
in flexibilidad when you should probably have used {{bor}}
, since it's a direct borrowing from Latin flexibilitās. Thanks! Benwing2 (talk) 20:48, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
{{bor}}
was when a word was copied directly, as software and {{der}}
when the word is modified when it is copied, as flexibilidad, fútbol. --Vivaelcelta (talk) 09:04, 22 February 2021 (UTC)
{{bor}}
, likewise if trivial adjustments are made to the word to fit Spanish morphology, like flexibilidad, politología. {{der}}
is used if there are significant structural adjustments or analogical changes made, or if a new morpheme is added onto the end. Also, make sure to include a final period after etymology lines beginning with "From ...". Benwing2 (talk) 05:44, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
Hello Vivaelcelta, I've noticed that you've been adding glosses to a lot of Spanish entries with {{q}}
. For example, at blanqueamiento (and many others). Thank you very much for adding this, but they should be enclosed in {{gloss}}
. Wiktionary does not use italics for definitions of words that are considered "gloss" definitions (i.e., that give the meaning of the word as opposed to a non-gloss definition, which describes how the word is used). Sí no me entiendes, dime y podría tentar de clarificarlo. ¡Gracias! Andrew Sheedy (talk) 20:14, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
{{q}}
is to add clarification on how a word is used and in what contexts (just like {{lb}}
, but unlike {{lb}}
, {{q}}
never adds the entry to a category). Andrew Sheedy (talk) 07:25, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
Hello. I noticed you added the same audio file for both Galician and Spanish. Was that intentional? are they actually pronounced exactly the same? Protegmatic (talk) 18:42, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
