• յեռեմ (yeṙem) — post-Classical

From յ- (y-, “in”) +‎ Proto-Indo-European *ser-s-, from the root *ser- (“to bind, connect”). For the prefix compare Ancient Greek ἐν-είρω (en-eírō), Latin Latin in-sero.

յեռում • (yeṙum)  (aorist indicative յեռի)

1. (transitive) to fasten together in rows, to connect, to join, to link, to concatenate, to tie, to attach

   յեռուլ ընդ պատուհանն ― yeṙul ənd patuhann ― to loll out of window

   յեռուլ առ եղբայր իւր ― yeṙul aṙ ełbayr iwr ― to visit one's brother, to pay him a visit

2. (transitive) to set, to mount, to enchase, to stud; to fit in, to mortise

   յեռուլ ընդ պատուհանն ― yeṙul ənd patuhann ― to loll out of window

3. (transitive) to insert, to interpolate, to intercalate
4. (transitive) to compose, to weave, to entwine

   յեռուլ զբան ― yeṙul zban ― to say, speak, tell
