Etymology

From Pali dāraka (“child (especially male child)”) or Sanskrit दारक (dāraka, idem). Cognate with Khmer ទារក (tiərŭək).

     เพื่อประโยชน์แห่งมาตรานี้ ให้ถือว่า เด็กที่เกิดมารอดอยู่ภายในสามร้อยสิบวันนับแต่เวลาที่เจ้ามรดกถึงแก่ความตายนั้นเป็นทารกในครรภ์มารดาอยู่ในเวลาที่เจ้ามรดกถึงแก่ความตาย

     pʉ̂ʉa bprà-yòot hɛ̀ng mâat-dtraa níi · hâi tʉ̌ʉ wâa · dèk tîi gə̀ət maa rɔ̂ɔt yùu paai-nai sǎam rɔ́ɔi sìp wan náp dtɛ̀ɛ wee-laa tîi jâao-mɔɔ-rá-dòk tʉ̌ng-gɛ̀ɛ-kwaam-dtaai nán bpen taa-rók nai kan maan-daa yùu nai wee-laa tîi jâao-mɔɔ-rá-dòk tʉ̌ng-gɛ̀ɛ-kwaam-dtaai

     For the purpose of this Section, it shall be deemed that a child that is born alive within three hundred and ten days reckoned from the time that the de cujus dies is a child en ventre sa mère at the time that the de cujus dies.
