A common phrase for the golden rule, that is, the positive form of cosmic moral reciprocity; complementing the silver rule in the negative form.

• don't do unto others what you wouldn't have them do unto you (namely, the silver rule in the negative form)
• do unto others (the abridged form)

   (Luke 6:31): "as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise"

   (Global Ethic): "We must treat others as we wish others to treat us." ^[1]

• This may be worth an ultimate measure of morality.
• The golden rule may imply the silver rule, and vice versa.
• Neither golden rule (doing good) nor silver rule (doing no harm) may make sense of such retaliation as tit for tat as a social, if not moral, behavior.
