น้ำตา

From น้ำ (náam, “liquid; water”) +‎ ตา (dtaa, “eye”); literally "eye water".

1. tear: drop of secreted fluid from an eye.

     The sound of crying is dominating the royal abode. All the ministers and public officers are, too, being stricken with deep grief. Each of the private citizens is also weeping and wailing. Soon the city will surely be inundated by tears of sorrow.
