孔子謂季氏：「八佾舞於庭，是可忍也，孰不可忍也？」

孔子谓季氏：「八佾舞于庭，是可忍也，孰不可忍也？」

Kǒngzǐ wèi Jì shì: “Bāyì wǔ yú tíng, shì kě rěn yě, shú bùkě rěn yě?”

Confucius said of the head of the Ji family (w:zh:季平子), who had eight rows of pantomimes in his area, "If he can bear to do this, what may he not bear to do?"

是可忍，孰不可忍

1. definitely cannot be tolerated

     During the first half of the 20th century, France was subjugated twice by Germany, which has been an extremely huge disgrace that definitely cannot be tolerated to the French people, who had a glorious history.
