- @Justinrleung: Thank you and thank you for the update in WT:GAN. ~~----
- 拉 - added Gan, Jin, Xiang, Hakka (Meixian, Guangdong), Min Bei and Min Dong.
- I think I went OK on this simple syllable and the tone numbers mostly matched between our systems and 漢語多功能字庫. However, there are some minor differences in transcriptions perhaps worth documenting:
- Gan: /la⁴²/ - lɑ 陰平42; Xiang: /la̠²⁴/ - la 入聲24; Min Dong (I changed different order per dialectal data module): /l̃a⁵⁵/, /nˡa⁵³/, /nˡaʔ⁵/ - la 陰平44 / na 陽平53 / naʔ 陽入5. Min Dong might need the reading note improvement. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 02:07, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
- I only highlight differences, e.g. a vs ɑ, n vs nˡ, tone values 55 vs 44 (Min Dong). They can either be changed to match, explained/documented/shown in mappings or ignored. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 02:11, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
- This character is not easy to deal with. The entry itself may need some more work to split things according to etymology. — justin(r)leung { (t...)

- 蟲 - added Gan, Xiang, Hakka (GD), Min Bei. Jin is missing 漢語多功能字庫
- Xiang: /ʈ͡ʂʊŋ/ (ours) - tʂoŋ (different presentation of the final). Min Bei: = 3, --陽平 (circumflex) and = 3, --陰去 (double overline) produce the same result as per Module:mnp-pron. Have 陽平 and 陰去 merged in Min Bei? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 11:38, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
- Min Bei: yes, I believe I told you about the tone merger before, and it's clearly written in Kienning Colloquial Romanized. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 02:23, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- 葉 - added Gan, Xiang, Hakka (GD), Min Bei (and Dungan)
- Not sure what (s) means in 建甌 line after "niɔ 陽入42". --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 21:13, 3 February 2020 (UTC)
- Not sure either, but that reading is etymologically unrelated to the other. A few more things: (1) for Hakka (GD), please check out PinFa for rules; it's not one-to-one correspondence with IPA. For this particular character, anything starting with i needs to be changed to y. (2) Tone marks for Min Bei is usually on the main vowel (rather than the glide parts of diphthongs). I'm not sure if this is an exact rule, but the tone placement should be the same as used in the Kienning Bible. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 19:53, 4 February 2020 (UTC)
- 叫 - added Jin, Gan, Xiang and Min Bei. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 10:55, 4 February 2020 (UTC)
- 狼 - added Jin, Gan, Xiang and Min Bei. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 11:00, 4 February 2020 (UTC)
- 色 - Gan, Jin, Xiang, Hakka (GD) and Dungan
- Gan: /sɛt̚⁵/ (Wiktionary) vs /sɛʔ⁵/ (elsewhere) difference (I must have mentioned this earlier). --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 23:18, 4 February 2020 (UTC)
- Hakka: -êd /ɛt/ is different from -ed /ət/. Jin: additional pronunciation (seh4 - literary). — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 02:13, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Justinrleung: Duly noted, thanks. The additional Jin reading must be coming from a different source. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 02:33, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- Yup, that other Jin reading comes from 汉语方言字汇 and Xiaoxuetang (another great source). — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 05:37, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- 住 - Gan, Jin, Xiang, Hakka (GD) and Dungan.
- Gan tone difference / ¹¹/ vs / ²¹/ still confuses me. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 05:02, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- 言 - Gan, Jin, Xiang, Dungan.
- Gan initial difference: /ŋ-/ (ours) vs /ȵ-/ --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 06:37, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- That's not right. /ȵ/ is ny- /n̠ʲ/ for us, as I've noted for 語 below. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 06:50, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Justinrleung: Thanks. That was a bad mistake of me. Especially that you already corrected me and I am familiar with a similar IPA symbol /ɲ/. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 21:56, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
- 站 - Gan, Jin, Xiang, Dungan.
- Xiang and Hakka (GD) possibly require a split. Uncertain about Xiang, didn't add Hakka. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 03:12, 6 February 2020 (UTC)
- I might improve it myself by adding Xiang and Hakka (GD) when I have time. —Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 03:26, 6 February 2020 (UTC)

- I didn't feel confident to add Hakka (GD), it's a 多音字 and requires notes. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 23:48, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
- I've just treated it as a literary-vernacular distinction without worrying about which compounds each is used in. — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 20:43, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
- 田 - Gan, Hakka (GB), Jin, Min Bei, Xiang and Dungan.
- Min Bei may require better pronunciation notes. Not sure I got them right. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 05:24, 10 February 2020 (UTC)
- Good for everything except Min Bei: châing is etymology 2 (the previous pronunciation isn't right). — justin(r)leung { (t...) | c=› } 15:42, 10 February 2020 (UTC)

- @Justinrleung Hi. Is Hakka (Meixian, pronunication #1) /cʰi⁴⁴/ or /kʰi⁴⁴/? (Can't listen to the audio right now) but acccording to WT:HAK I think it should be palatalised(?). --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 00:20, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
