This is to announce this year's Easter competition, which is open to all contributors. It will both start and conclude after Catholic/Protestant Easter and before Orthodox Easter (and is named Easter Competition only to keep it in line with previous years' competitions).
The object is to construct an ordered list of words meeting the following criteria; whoever supplies the longest list wins.
The contest will begin with the onset of April 1 UTC, allowing for amendment of the rules until that time. It will end at the end of April 15 Hawaii daylight-savings time (UTC−9), when tax returns are due. The winner will receive fame and glory, or something.

That first entry up there doesn't meet rule 6, since the last four words are all synonyms. Right? --EncycloPetey 21:18, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
On TDR's entry, arc (curve) is not ark (vessel). Robert Ullmann 16:20, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
Hm, in Dmcdevit's entry, aren't whip-defeat-best all synonyms? Still, even dropping defeat, he's still the winner. (And don't complain he was late, as the other entries were early!) Congratulations! In the spirit of Wikipedia, I hereby bestow upon Dmcdevit this star:
