From Gaj's Latin alphabet H, from Czech alphabet H, from Latin Latin H, from Etruscan 𐌇 (h, he), from Ancient Greek Η (Ē, eta), from 𐤇 (ḥ, het), from the Egyptian hieroglyph 𓈈 or maybe 𓉗. Pronunciation as /xə/ is initial Slovene (phoneme plus a fill vowel) and the second pronunciation is probably taken from German H.
